FRANCIS DRIVE - PALM SPRINGS

This 1961 midcentury Alexander Home is one of the hundreds completed by architect William Krisel and the Alexander Construction Company. The house was completely gutted, and Lilianna executed a full interior/exterior remodel that was featured in Dwell Magazine. The floor plan was altered to make the living space more functional, while concrete floors were installed throughout to compliment the original beams and wood ceiling. Extra glass windows were constructed around the fireplace to maximize the indoor/outdoor flow, while still retaining part of the original brick masonry. The kitchen and bathrooms received a complete overhaul with all new cabinetry, countertops, and finishes. Custom rattan closet doors in the entryway and guest room, and additional select furnishings and cabinetry throughout the home, were all handcrafted by local artisans. In the principal bedroom, a stunning oak-slat feature wall hides a newly constructed and meticulously designed walk-in closet. The home’s multiple sliding doors flow seamlessly outside to a thoughtfully designed yard, equipped with a large patio, fire pit, and pool lounging area, all bordered by nearly 150 ficus trees.
